its a bit hard to see in this image and quit hard to believe, but the little shed behind peter is a clinic and even a "circumcision-clinic", which reminds me: i have to see my dentist... ouch!

a note to start with

"this is the beginning of the "chronicless of an african trip." it may be that i shall not keep them up very long but i am starting out with good intentions in response to the request of many friends, so please pass them on as long as they last. there won´t be any attempt at "fine writing"-only a few notes as we go our way"

a few years ago i bought a copy of "the chronicles of an african trip" in a very dusty antiquities shoppe in downtown nairobi from an old indian lady. the book, which the author had signed "... to my colleagues and friends at the kodak company. george eastman, 1927" is the precious acquisition ever to my little african library.

the book itself is more or less a lose collection of letters that eastman wrote to his secretary in rochester while he was on a safari in east africa trying to shoot an elephant (which he never managed to do, exept with his camera!)

i want to take mr. eastmans approach of not attempting any "fine-writing" but rather a "few notes as we go our way" and make it my own for this little blog about my wimbi-project.

especially wimbi's friends and followers are invited to return from time to time and see and read about my latest achievements and adventures as a travelling photography teacher.
